Trust is the missing rail in home services.
Every year, homeowners and contractors lose time and money to the same problem: no safe, transparent way to pay as work gets done. ServiceEscrow fixes the money.
ServiceEscrow is the payments layer of the eCorp home-services network — the same network behind Handyman.com, ServiceDirectory, ProjectAgent, and HomeBot. Those products help homeowners find pros, check quotes, and scope projects. ServiceEscrow handles the part everyone worries about most: the payment.
What we believe
A home project should feel as safe to pay for as anything else you buy online. Money should be held until work is actually done, released the moment it’s approved, and refundable when something goes wrong — with a clear record for both sides. That’s not a feature; it’s the foundation of trust between a homeowner and a pro.
How we’re built
We’re a thin, focused piece of infrastructure. We don’t operate our own money rails — payments are captured and held by Stripe, released on homeowner approval, and contractor payouts are settled to their bank. That keeps the platform simple, auditable, and out of the business of holding customer funds ourselves. Every fund-moving action stays gated behind a legal-review switch until it’s cleared for each market.
One layer, the whole network
ServiceEscrow was designed as a multi-marketplace adapter. Handyman.com is the first site it powers, but any home-services marketplace — inside eCorp or beyond — can plug in with a single API call. One payment layer, shared trust, everywhere home work gets done.
